I travel with a nap sack on my back to gather stories and sit in the circle of humanity.
The Deepest Roots
My Roots in the Orchard (Forty-Eight hours before my flight) Some lives intersect at the same moment in time. I am drawing parallels in connection with the women and children I may find on my mission. My goal will be to take them to host countries around the world. I can only imagine their fear as they leave their families and their homeland. As I prepare to head into the unknown, I am experiencing my own story.
The Dragon Whistlers
The Dragon Whistlers Chapter 1 'There weren’t always dragons in the Valley'. Now is the time and place for the flying green-eyed wizard huffing puffing, gizzard blizzard, chiseled fire breathing, fizzling dragons to make another entrance... They never went away. My guess is that they will come in disguise but not above where our imagination can look into their eyes and recognize the heroes of yore. I have missed seeing them, in this barren desert. Where are you my friends? My childhood memories yearn for the awkward freedom of imagination".
The Barbed Wire Diary
My name is Anna Pavlik. I am twelve years old and I live in Ukraine. I am a Violinist. This is my passion and so is science. My Baba (beloved grandmother) lives in the United States and I dream of being there to live with her so that I may continue my classical violin studies. I spoke to my Baba before war, before the sound of the greatest earth shaking booms. They have shaken me off the ground. There are large clouds of fire that scorched through our city. My family was crying for fear, and my mother covered my baby sister under her shawl. We ran to hide in my aunt's (my Titka's) barn. My baby sister's eyes were wide, talking to me and I know she was asking if I would hold her little hands. Father went to help feed his friends and make sure that their medical needs were taken care of. He was almost doctor and has learned many ways to heal. He knows how to wrap bandages and dress wounds.
The Escape of Marigold Wolfie
Based on a true story) (For the freedom of all the world’s children) Cologne Germany was post-card beautiful before the war with its Gothic architecture, connecting villages, and passionate people. It reveled in the cultural and religious differences of its inhabitants. When a baby was born, or a couple was married, church bells rang, and families gathered for celebrations.
The Physics of Kindness
You can't help but reach out to support someone in need. After all we are the family of human kind. You may start with the analytics of a situation and a scientific approach to how to resolve an issue, but in the long run it's your spirit that guides you toward simple acts of human kindness. Sometimes it requires an intuition or observation to put you in action.

Maple My Cereal Box Prize
Maple My Cereal Box Dog She poked her nose out of a cereal box and I fell in love A two ton yellow garbage truck showed up for collection in the parking lot of our elementary school. I was assigned to be the coordinator to collect cereal boxes for the first post consumer waste in Cincinnati. It was an experiment and I had to get the job done. People from far and wide came with their prized empty cereal boxes, and the volunteers and I corralled them toward the back of the truck. Pretty soon after three hours of collection, pounds of the pre post-consumer material filled the mammoth lemon color vehicle. Don't ask how I fell out of the truck.
How To Fly The Mountain
An artist’s spirit, considers the cold wind in New York like a dance partner. You show up and reach out for each other. Sometimes the natural forces and the push and pull of the elements takes over. If you are walking to work with your arms wrapped around yourself the blustery gusts push you two steps forward and two steps back, just like a Salsa dance. The music that is in your head, is from your own desire, and the rhythm you create swirls around you in the movement of imagination.
