Black Lives Matter
Who would have thought being darker then my peers could be the cost of my demise. Who would of thought being black could be the cost of my downfall. I wanna rise above it all but the world just wants to see me fall. What do I have to do for the world to see me as their equal. They way the world seems to hate us, it was only a matter of time before we’d hate ourselves to. I look at myself in the mirror and I see a man with something to prove. Its sad we feel that we can’t excel in life of the skin we were born into. A prejudice thats been decided long before I was even born. Is it the nappy hair, is it the charismatic smile, is it the way we hold our own even though our worlds spinning. The world will look me in my eyes, see the confidence, see the intelligence and try to destroy it.The world rather murder my soul than cherish it. It just goes to show how valuable we all truly are. You don’t try and destroy something that isn’t a threat to you. Black is beautiful, it’s nothing short of gorgeous. From the beautiful skin to the mind of a warrior. Sometimes you have to let them win some battles to win the war. Your perception of me shouldn’t be determined by how dark I am compared to you because the truth is that very same “black man” would run through a wall for you. How is it fair for you to judge me just because I don’t look like you. If you looked at me for what I am on the inside I promise I just might surprise you. Look me deep in my eyes, I promise I’m capable of love to.

The end
I think this is the end. Sucks it had to be this way i wish it could have been another way instead. As i sit on this bed thinking about the end i cant help but reminisce on everything that was said. Everything we did, everything we planned for, everything leading up to the end. Maybe too much happened in the past, too much to ever come back from. I watched us crash and burn, and ill never be able to accept what could have been. I really thought there wouldnt be an end, but i guess in life even great things must come to an end.

Innocence - Poem
A boy who lost his innocence at a young age. Were all forced to play this dreadful game. No winners or prizes, just coffins and a lot of pain. Depending how you play it, maybe you wont look at it the same way as a boy who had to become a man at a young age. A lot of us are in it to obtain money and fame, but what they all fail to realize is when you lose it all will the view you the same way? Will they still have that gratitude when you aren’t the man everyone looks to. What if we all knew the most useful tool we can ever posses was apart of us. In the eyes of a young boy that means absolutely nothing. Many of us want to stand for something but later down the road in the eyes of the wicked will die for nothing. Its a shame cause you cant teach someone something you never knew yourself, many of us are only here because we’d affect too many lives if we killed ourself. Theres a higher purpose we serve, ive been buried far deep to the center of the earth. Writing away your thoughts of the day is what helps a young boy stay sane. I hope i live long enough to tell my kids my story. Not so they can understand the pain, but understand that through that pain there was glory. We all just want to be the good guy in somebody’s story but what we fail to realize is that without the bad guy, there really is no story. You have to embrace the light and dark sides otherwise you’ll always be living in a permanent lie. I hope I positively affect enough lives that when I die I’ll forever be immortalized. The demons in my eyes didn’t always appear that way, they slowed started to creep up on me more and more and I forcefully continued to play this dreadful game.
