A Universe Removed
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But someone did. Or, some thing did. It heard us screaming out into the void for answers. It listened to us casting our calls out to see if we were alone in the vast emptiness of the universe and it decided to respond.
The Basics to a Healthy Life
Let there be light. Let there be belief. Let us say that there are higher beings. Now, this is coming from a self-declared atheist who believes that there is no god and there are no higher beings. This is coming from someone that believes that there is nothing that exists after we die.
The Acoustic Charriot
From the moment you sat down in my car I felt like I was a shining knight in armor, my horse: the black Faraday cage that rolled beneath us, the dragon: another pointless endeavor of self-gratification over completion of the simple task of showing up through the action of gathering for entertainment.
Dear, Moon, I went back to the parking spot last week to see if the sky was any clearer this time. Every time I drive by I see you being formed in the constellations, only to realize that you weren’t a star, but a comet passing by. We grazed hands and at long-last, a probe wasn’t landed; I can’t say that much for you from before.
Our Orbits Were Too Close
I slouched back down in my seat as I felt the hum of the car's engine beneath my hand. I felt like I had just been slapped across the face. I looked up to see the red, wet streaks on the pavement as the tears began to roll down my face. I opened the windows and turned up the music to cover my feelings so I couldn't think.
