PSYCHONAUTS 2 REVIEW
Aside from the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, I don’t remember a lot about 2005. But I do recall playing Psychonauts, Double Fine’s groundbreaking action puzzle platform game with its weird, trippy visuals, quirky sense of humor, and unique take on the human mind. Playing it today Psychonauts remains a game with more ambition and heart than mechanical polish, but it literally set the stage for Psychonauts 2, where all the wondrous, challenging and creative ideas of the original are more than fully realized.

The Ascent Review
Tiers are everywhere. Socioeconomic tiers split people based on education, wealth, and occupation. Sport tiers range from children’s amateur leagues to professionals competing at the Olympics. Tiers also exist in gaming. We expect that indie titles will not have the visual quality and content of the bigger games. But every once and a while a game blurs the line. The Ascent is a fun top-down shooter from a small development studio, Neon Giant, with exceptional visuals and plenty of content. If it were not for bugs, tedium, and other issues, it would sit comfortably alongside games several price tiers above its own.

Madden NFL 22 review: A game of inches
The Madden series is among the most heavily-criticized franchises on the market. Madden NFL 22 is the latest installment in the series and although it does address some of the game’s long-running problems, it feels like more of an incremental upgrade, rather than the generational leap players are hoping for.

Boyfriend Dungeon review: Man Crush Monday
I always love it when a developer can cleverly weave together two genres. Bonus points if those two genres are a pair that we almost never see together. Kitfox Games gave themselves the challenge to do just that with Boyfriend Dungeon, a visual novel dating sim combined with a traditional dungeon-crawler. Somehow, they pull it off.
