The Cure for Depression
The Depression Cure: As a diagnosed Bi-Polar Depression individual, I want to get this off my chest. Depression is not cured by money, or magic pills. I am a firm believer that depression is caused by circumstance of living life. Sometimes life can get the better of us. The importance of this message is that life deals us a stack of cards and how we deal those cards determines a lot.

My First Real Ginger Harvest
This is a picture of Aloe Plant and Ginger Plant. Both of these plants love Louisiana climate. The first time I planted ginger, I was living in Michigan and the plant never really took off. I thought it was because I had it in the wrong sun, or not enough water, but I never thought that Michigan was not quite warm enough for ginger. My first harvest, I got a few ginger roots, but nothing to rave about. Then we moved to Louisiana and when it came time to plant my garden, I thought why not give ginger another chance. And so, I placed a single root in a five gallon bucket of fresh garden soil. I then placed the bucket in the sunniest spot in the yard.

The Nomad
I remember the first time I heard the word nomad. I was watching a tiny house transformation on You Tube, and they kept referring to living a nomad life. I went to Webster’s Dictionary online, and the definition referred to earlier settlers with livestock, who would move from place to place for better pastures. It interested me hearing the modern spin of a nomad life, and realizing that we really are not that different from history.

Positive Thoughts for a Rainy Day
The alarm goes off, you rise from the bed, and place your feet on the cold floor. When you open the blinds and look outside the window, it just happens to be raining in sheets, and all you want to do is see the sunshine. Do you know what that kind of attitude is called? In my world it is called a negative environmental distraction.

This Tiny Life
When I was five years old, my parents had a small 10-foot camper that they kept in their backyard. It was to small to really do much of anything in it. I recall that it had a table that sat right next to a big window. Through that window I could see the backyard. It was like my escape from reality. When I first discovered that the door was unlocked, I would sneak out and sit at the table and play with my pick up sticks.
