I am leading an amazing life and doing my best to lead a life of purpose and excitement. This is me trying my hand at writing in the eyes of the public. I hope you enjoy it and it makes you think.
Gun Control, Well... Gun "Control"
Gun violence has been a plague on the American society, it has come to a point where ignoring it feels irresponsible. This article was started several months ago, however, I did not finish it because I could not fully choose a side, but that is no longer the case. Guns are often glorified, in a culture of cowboy mentality, that their detrimental impact on the people of our country has been brushed aside. This cannot continue. The lives lost to this scourge are those of our neighbors; and encouraging the continued peril of our loved one's is not American spirit nor right, it is barbaric.
London, I Love You
London is a city drenched in history, covering bloody war, epic music, fashion, and royalty. It is a global landmark of culture and adventure, and it does not disappoint. I have wanted to live here since I was seven. I remember having the conversation with my aunt:
Internet, a Broken Tool
It connects everyone, it starts revolutions, provides access to places across the world in seconds, it entertains and informs you, and it gives you a voice. The internet is something that has taken the world by storm in the last couple decades, and it has revolutionized us at a speed and in a fashion that has forced us to adopt in an agile way. According to The Office of Statistics, 90 percent of British households accessed the internet in 2017, that is about 59,916,154 people in England alone. The internet is a tool with limitless purpose; a tool that has become a large part of our daily lives and the activities we carry out. Personally, I use it in order to find directions, for entertainment, communication, research, and countless other tasks that allow me to be a productive and changing person.
Tucked into your neck, like a secret, lies the control unit for your hair, weight, calcium absorption, and your mood. It is subtle, though gaining light in the press, however, if it is malfunctioning it can lead to miserable circumstances that are difficult to target and fix.
Prohibition, an exponential social experiment conducted for economic and social reasons, turned into one of the most criminal, corrupt, and socially moving periods in history. During Prohibition, there was an astronomical amount of black market action including speakeasies and bootleggers that conducted the entire alcohol industry. Gangsters were rampant throughout the years of prohibition's reign and controlled the black market, the officials, and the businesses and people through violence and bribery. However, there was also a positive change that accompanied prohibition; women took steps toward gender equality through movement against prohibition and taking part in it. Prohibition was an economic-fueled movement that resulted in social and political events that challenged the American system such as organized crime, change in standards of social behavior, corruption, and an explosion in the black market. All of these events resulted in the most elaborate social experiment in American history.
We Are All 12 Inches Long
If a person’s essence is 12 inches long, our differences all fit within one quarter of an inch. Humans, to many people’s dissatisfaction, are all the same.
Loving a Rescue Dog
The story of how we got Kenzo is both sweet and sad. He belonged to our neighbors. When we moved into the house across the road we would pet him through their high metal fence whenever we could and smuggle out treats to him. Soon, he would keep running away from his owner's house to come find us; once we found him wandering around in our living room. The family he belonged to was cruel to him, and finally, after Kenzo constantly running away to us and cutting his nose trying to get under their fence, the owner just walked him across the street with a pathetic bag of dog belongings and gave him to us.
