Self Love is self mastery
We come out of the womb attached to our mothers until the umbilical cord is cut. We continue to be nurtured at home and through schooling as we are dependent on others until we grow independent and learn to nurture those who have cared for us, our family, our friends, we enter into relationships, we don’t always choose right, but we give love and figure it out as we get to know ourselves along the way.

Valentine’s inspired acts of kindness
It was Saturday and I had a road trip planned, firstly a 3 hour round trip for the first leg of the journey from the Cotswolds to North Somerset in my motorhome to get help with changing my leisure battery. Then in the afternoon switch from motorhome to car, for a nights stay in London.

I bought my first mobile phone in 1997, just after pagers were all the rage. And how cool was it to own a pager? A service where you phone up and speak to an operator to give them a message to send to the pager.
