The Joy Of RagRugs
I love to create! I inherited a love of keeping my hands busy from a mother and grandmother who both loved to create. I love seeing the project evolve and transform before my eyes, whether is it painting, Woodburning, polymer clay, or weaving. Creating something new is my form of therapy.

I Create Me
I would not say that I am a passionate person, at least not in a visible way. I am not competitive, or argumentative, I do not like to debate with others. My passion comes from inside, an emotional, mental, and spiritual drive to create things, and to understand why others have that same desire.

What Else Can I Burn?
I inherited a love of keeping my hands busy from a mother and grandmother who both loved to create. In my search for my own niche, I found pyrography. I was browsing through Pinterest for random ideas and ran across some pyrography projects. I was fascinated by the detail and the depth of the images. I went to my local Walmart and purchased a cheap woodburning kit and found a scrap piece of wood and made my first attempt. It was not much but I was hooked.

My Mother Taught Me...
Motherhood is one of the most complicated, challenging, frightening, frustrating, and yet rewarding experiences in life. There are no manuals, no instructions, what works with one child rarely works with the next. One success is often overshadowed by the next three (what appear to be) failures. Every day you wake up and try again. Your children judge you, hate you, love you, forget you, need you and in the end, you are still there for them.

Music That Shaped Me
I grew up with music, John Denver, the Carpenters, Johnny Cash, and Kenny Rogers. I listened to the Eagles, Boston and Foreigner, Creedence Clearwater, and the Beatles. There was always something playing on our big console record player. I remember the Partridge Family, the Monkees, and the Beach Boys. My playlist would probably include music from this generation to start with.

Onaqui Wild Horses
I live in Utah where there are several herds of wild horses that are managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Over the years I have seen many photos of these beautiful animals. I finally decided it was time that I took the trip myself. I loaded up my camera filled my car with fuel and made sure my tires were aired up (the road out to this area is rough and has a reputation for causing flat tires), told my family where I was going and to come find me if I didn’t get home by 8:00 PM.

When I learned to love the Desert
When I was a child, I was always told that the desert was ugly, dry, dusty…there was no beauty to be found in the desert. The only way I ever saw it was from the car as we drove through the empty landscape, so I believed the words I was told.
