A JOLT AND THE TRAIN LEAVES THE STATION...
Darla struggles to move briskly across the platform, dragging the large, heavy suitcase behind her. “Please… don’t go! I need to get aboard – don’t leave without me,” she pleads, more to herself than anyone in particular, as the final passengers herd themselves onto the train. The doors begin to close. In a last ditch effort of stupidity, Darla shoves her arm in between the doors to stop them from closing, but a man’s arm gets there before her. She breathes a sigh of relief as the doors automatically open and she heaves the bag on board, just as the businessman pushes rudely past her to enter as well. The commuters stare as she makes her way to a vacant seat close to the back, where a young lady lies asleep – a jolt and the train begins its journey.

...THE MARIGOLDS FALL FROM YOUR HAND
I’ve been there all along; right through your journey. Now you stand alone in this cemetery – a gravestone seeking redemption. I guess it never occurred to you that I felt that way. I guess you never wanted to understand what you were doing. It was too much fun – for you anyway. How much fun is it now? I have to smile as I watch you stare into the abyss – hoping that it will take it all away. But I will make sure it never will!

The Old Barn
The Old Barn hunched over in a bid to protect itself from the chilly winds that whipped over the snow-laden farm, as the elderly farmer continued to dig around the snow that trapped his pick-up truck on this frosty morning. The barn could feel in its timbers that it was not going to be a good day.
