Tomos Jackson
Bio
I love how inspiring stories and character can be. I try and replicate that in my own writing to not only give inspiration, but also to encourage the reader to consider important matters through a more enjoyable and digestible fantasy lens.

The Turn of Fate
Author's note: This follows Trial by Fyra. Naythan threw himself to the side landing hard on the snow with a grunt. "Oh for god's sake. Not again." he grumbled, before he hastily got to his feet and dashed aside to avoid yet another blast from the sorceress. He ducked beside a tree trunk and peered around it to see Lor'kan still standing behind the sorceress, arms crossed, watching the proceedings with interest.

Predator and Prey (P1)
Authors note: This follows "The Soldier and The Slave" The visit to the surgeon had proceeded without anymore interruptions, Fyra's curiosity about the boy leading her dulled by their small exchange. She had been piqued by his attempt to protect her, which to her knowledge was uncommon among the humans when it came to preventing violence against her people, but his response had been all that she should have expected. He was slightly above average in intelligence for a human, enough to know to protect his own from trouble.

Devils' Among Us? (Abridged)
"They’re so unsettling aren’t they." Naythan looked up from the fire he and his fellow sergeants of the Cloenaid Order were sitting around, towards his companion, Jay'san, who was looking out towards the dryads huddled in their charge.

The Soldier and The Slave
Author's note: This scene follows on from "Devils Amongst Us?" The chains felt cold in Naythan's hands from the bitter chill of the winter air around them. He didn't let them slack in his grip, but he did hurry his footsteps. It wasn't exactly the cold, nor even the orders of Lor'kan that caused his haste. Naythan didn't need to see or turn around to feel the burning red eyes of the Dryad he had chained burning holes into his back. It sent chills up his spine and he tried, but failed to suppress a shudder. He just shrugged his clothing tighter about himself and tried to make it seem it was just the winter air making him cold.

Athanasian Dryads
There is much dispute amongst different scholars and religious sects about the origins of Mankind's most significant neighbours. However, religion and speculation is not the purpose of this volume, but only to speak of what we know in surety, for assuredly have those early days been a subject of great division and constant debate has served to but still further the confusion rather than clear it as many claim different one from another in order to further advance their own worldview.

Cayutha et Tristutha
Cayutha are creatures of the water, normally found by rivers and lakes. Travellers have oft found good fortune when meeting such creatures, and the name that these creatures are known by translates from the old tongue to mean "Helper" or "Aid". They are by nature very shy and it is rare for one to choose to manifest itself into a physical form before a stranger, but should one pique their interest or pity, they are a sure way for things to improve.
