I am Very Asian
Violence against Asian individuals is on the rise in America due to the coronavirus, and the prospect is terrifying. I am half Japanese, and constantly worry for my mother when she goes out. This worry grew worst when the 2021 Atlanta Spa Shootings took place, and when Captian Jay Baker said the shooter was having a “bad day.” I sat there with my mouth agape and in shock.

A Bottle of Pills
I will admit with shaky hands and tears in my eyes that I am not mentally sound, but I act like it. I know the words that will come out of the mouth of my retracted if I admit my not mentally healthy mind. I can hear the words they said to me when I was twelve and told them that I thought I was depressed. I do not know what depression is and therefore was not depressed. So I stayed quiet. Even when the bottle of pills on the medicine cabinet was calling for me and promising a release from the pain and suffering I was feeling. Yet I never reached for those pills because I knew that if I did reach for those pills the inconvenience that I already was would be even greater.

The Stereotypes that Comes with Birth Control
I was laying in bed watching Youtube videos on my phone and a video entitled, "Straight TikTok" captured my attention. TikTok is a popular short video sharing app that has an algorithm that recommends videos for its users and jokingly many people say there is a gay side of TikTok where there are members of the LGBTQIA+ community and Straight TikTok which consists of Trump lovers. Anyhow, one of the videos that the Youtuber showed was one where a user says that when a girl says she is using birth control for cramps he knows the real reason is for sex.

The game Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) is popular among fans of many genres. The game has been referenced in television shows from Gravity Falls or Stranger Things. I am an fan of DnD and play the game in my free time. The creativity the game allows is endless since it gives the players options on what race and class to play. The main point of DnD is being with friends and following the Dungeon Master's (DM) story. The fate of the players is left to the dice, but the most used and popular dice is the twenty-sided dice.

I have long wanted to play games in the Animal Crossing franchise, but I was always consumed with school and never found the time until Covid-19 made everyone shelter in place. Yes, Covid-19 is serious, but it did give many people free time and left them unemployed, including me.

The South
Growing up in the south is an unique experience. There are churches at every corner and shirts announcing bible passages. There are sometimes sign saying "God Loves You!" It's cute, but my point is that God is prevalent in the south. It is a way of life. Walk into any Hobby Lobby and see the quotes from the bible and hear the grandmothers talk about their church services and the scandalous things they have planned after like eating brunch at some cafe or Olive Garden.

Growing up I was always told that inorder to successful in life you need to have money. Money is what makes the world go round and you can buy tons of things. You want a swimming pool well you need money for that. However in this day and age most of us will need a college degree.
