Please, Consider Me A Special Case
"You can't seriously say you're not the least bit curious." I sit at the kitchen table picking at the dry meat loaf that my "mother" presented again for dinner. We are supposed to be having a "family dinner". Normally, this is a technology-free dinner thing that works, as my so-called mother would be reprimanding my so-called brother for having his tablet at the dinner table. However, tonight even she has a phone hidden in her lap. I try to signal to Landon to take a peek at her phone by making eye contact with him and diverting my gaze towards her lap, hoping he will follow suit. And he does look her way, only for his eyes to settle on her breasts. He gives me an idiotic, bright smile with his perfect teeth, and a thumbs up. He turns his focus back to his tablet, chuckling quietly to himself; he's laughing at my annoyance I'm sure.

No and Go Are Too Similar
"Green Light!" With my back turned towards the action, I began to feel uncomfortable nervous tremors in my body as I heard the sounds of someone shuffling rapidly towards me. In my raised left hand, I felt pain and moist because of how tightly I was gripping the handle of the mini, green, LED lightsaber I bought on a whim at a Sci-fi convention in D.C. two summers ago. In my right hand, the one that wasn't sweating and cramping, I had a red fly swatter that had clearly been worn out through repeated use. The whole ordeal must not have lasted more than a few seconds. Once I could take no more of the impending, intimidating sounds, I quickly raised the red fly swatter and was able to relax, at least for the time being. The movement had stopped and there was silence now, but that just meant that the countdown for me to start the next round had commenced. I had let my nerves get the best of me for the first round, so I wasn't able to pay attention to how fast the competition was moving or estimate how close the competition had gotten to me at this point. I decided to use my next round to try and gauge these facts.

Nope, You Have Not Seen These Movies Yet
Yes, that subtitle is meant to read like a 2000s chick flick quote, but never mind that! Why should you ignore that? Because America has done itself justice when it comes to making original films in the romantic comedy AKA chick flick genre, but we’ll be talking about some movies that America did not do justice to, which you may not even know about.

The Unambitious Social Climber
I am an unambitious social climber. I have no real desire to achieve anything, and I never have. Yet, things always line up in my favor. An opportunity I did not ask for comes to me, offering a clear path to having more. And then, for no reason at all because I do not desire anything, I put in the bare minimum effort that the opportunity requires of me to get more.
