“The trees are talking to me... am I crazy?”
Meditation can come in the form of many different things. For me, it is often from yoga, but for some people it may be jujitsu, chess, music, any time where you can be in a space where you can activate peace and revelations come to you; downloads from the universe come to you.

The Art of Slowing Down
This lesson from the mat was brought to you by a combination of Egyptian Yoga and Yin Yoga, which is slow, spending time in each posture, just listening. If you already do yoga then you most likely understand what this can be like, but if you are not a yoga practitioner there are different reasons to do yoga. I’m doing yoga to build strength, some do yoga for the inner work, some do yoga for flexibility some of them do it just to free up some space inside of them.

I Believe Therefore I Am
When you are building a house, you don’t just start off with the foundation. When you are building a house you must first survey the land, you have to understand the soil content, understand what’s under there. Sometimes you must dig down before you can build up. In the Kemetic yoga sequence that I often do, every time you approach your yoga mat, your yoga mat is a reflection of you. It is a reflection of where you are.

Are You The Master or The Student?
A lot of times when we are leveling up our being, when we are striving for something more, gaining a new skill set, trying something new, we often look outside of ourselves for the thing that is going to teach us. In the last year I have lived in California, and got to a point at the top of this year where I wanted to start to make money off of the things I do naturally. So I started brainstorming the things that I do naturally; yoga every single day, social media every single day, and I was pondering ways to make online income from those things, which brought me full circle to feeling like all of the skill sets thatI have capped out at my knowledge of them or use of them in an independent way.

“You is strong, you is kind, you is important.”
Rituals are super important. And I want you to take a moment to think about your morning rituals. My ritual happens to be the same as J Shetty, former monk, now businessman and advocate for wisdom going viral. He is an influencer. Who is bringing monk principles to the main stream. #MakeWisdomgoViral . Our morning rituals are the same. We wake up, go brush our teeth, we have meditation time, we spend some time outdoors in nature just being grateful for the day, then we check social media for a bit before we head on over to the gym ( Jay is more about light cardio and boxing, where I am about jump rope and yoga). Long story short if you won’t take it for me that rituals are important, at least listen to someone who was a former monk.

The Secret to Work-Life Balance
You know the term “my cup runneth over”? They say whatever’s in that cup is for you, whatever overflows from it is for everyone else. Because you have to be a whole spring and well, flowing from Source, before you pour out. If you have no Source flowing through you and you try to pour out, you’re just pouring from ego; you’re going to be burnt out very quickly. Overall it’s not balance; it is not going to bode well for you.
