How I Became a Super Villain part 4
Jim and I spend the rest of the day working together. In each class, we're paired up and expected to help each other out. I'll admit I'm actually surprised at how much Jim knows and that he's smarter than how he presents himself. I don't know why I'm surprised, except that perhaps he's put on such a good show of being a certain type of super villain that I haven't expected he'd actually be smarter than I thought. And maybe that, in and of itself, speaks volumes to just how smart he is.

How I Became a Supervillain part 3
Whether we're at home or at school Jim and I start working together. It isn't a seamless experience, but I oddly feel like I'm rediscovering the brother I lost when my mom died. After her death, Jim went all in on his villain persona, and I'll admit I buried myself in my creativity. And our dad...well he also got caught up in his work. I guess none of us realized how much we drifted apart. I actually feel a bit grateful to Mr. Hornsbees for making my brother and I work together.

The Zombie Apocalypse Alarm System
"Sue, I've got an idea," Jared excitedly says to me. "What's your idea?" I ask, both curious and concerned about what his latest idea will be. I love Jared, but this last week has definitely tested our marriage in ways I never expected. Of course that'll happen when you're trying to survive the end of the world as you know it.

How I learned to Rest
A few years ago, in 2017, I hit a wall. I owned several businesses at the time, and I was trying to figure out some new approaches to marketing, but what I ended up doing was running those businesses into the ground, because I didn't know when to stop working. I was burned out, frustrated, and exhausted. I ended up having to take a job at a call center, and each time, within the first few months, that I tried to do anything to resurrect those businesses I found myself continuing to hit obstacles.

Occult Assassins
I thought I could get out of the assassination game and just live a quiet life in the suburbs, but the problem is when someone needs your services bad enough they'll find a way to track you down and get you to help them, even when you don't want to. That's exactly what happened when my old mentor Bill showed up at my doorstep out of the blue. He wasn't supposed to know where I lived or what I was doing, but he found me anyway. Of course it helps that Bill's a magician, and I don't mean the party trick type. I mean the kind of magician that summons spirits and casts spells.

How I became a super villain part 1
I didn't set out to be a super villain. As far as I know, no one sets out to be a super villain. I wanted to be a hero, come in and save the day from the bank robbers or the super villain or the aliens that were invading the planet, you know the stuff super heroes usually do.

Taking off the masks
Earlier this year, I got divorced. I chose the divorce and walked out of a 10 year marriage and an 11 year relationship. It was one of the hardest choices I've ever made and it was the start of a journey that's involved me rediscovering the real me.

The Zombie Apocalypse Pond
“I think we should check the aquarium and see if the zombies have left,” Jared says. I look at him sharply and say, “Are you kidding me? Have you already forgotten what happened yesterday? We nearly got killed by the horde we led into the aquarium, to take out those marauders.”
