Work Hard, and Play Even Harder
It was April, Spring was sprouting, you could smell the crisp fresh air around you. I was in about the Eighth Grade at the time. A mature looking girl for my age, long, brown, silky hair, brown eyes with sharp, and slick black glasses rimmed around them. I attended a Private School back then, with my very best friend. We would strut around our school campus in our white polo shirts, along with our green, red, white, and navy color pleated skirts. Just to top it off. This was our outfit, every single day. Yes, we got tired of it. But hey what can you do? Our shoes had to be a certain color too. Then there was our hair, we even had rules for that yes, I know, wild right? Hair rules were to keep it pulled back and out of your face using a solid school uniform color only hair tie and or headband of some sort.

Elm
She was only 5 years old. A young brilliant minded child. So unique eyes open wider than the skies could reach. She had short brown hair with wispy cross bangs trimmed delicately, just above her eyes. She was getting ready for her first day of kindergarten, in a brand-new house, about to leave for the day. Along with a new Step dad, and step brother and sister. She skipped her way to their first day of the new school year which just so happened to be located just a walk around the corner. Her brother and sister were older and in much higher grades than her so she did not see them much during school hours. When they got home, well, life was a different story. Here is too the beginning of a bone chilling short story that you will never forget.
