Bird-Nerd's Aren't Real
Karen’s phone rang while she was weeding her flowerbeds. “Let it go to voicemail,” she thought to herself as she pulled dandelions out from around the marigolds. After the third hangup, she grabbed it and stared down at an unknown number. Hitting the message icon, she grumbled, “Who the hell can that be?” Listened impatiently, a raspy voice cracked over the speaker, “This is Jim Henderson. John asked me to bring one of the pups over when they were ready. I’ll be stopping by in five minutes.” "I guess I should go find him," she muttered as she hung up the phone. Hearing the pouch door slam, she looked up and saw her three sons running from the house.

The Apocalypse
With my mind racing, I slowly began to drift off into a vivid peaceful dream. I dreamt of sitting on a beach with glittering, white sand reflecting the sunlight watching a gaggle of swans diving for aquatic plants in the crystal clear lake. The water was the color of turquoise, with the waves gently lapping onto the shore. Wildflowers bloomed with their sweet scent lingering in the air blowing back and forth, swaying in the warm summer breeze.

The Yellow Cedar Tree
Hello, I am a yellow-cedar, and I live in Canada's oldest forest in the Caren Range on the Sunshine Coast. I still remember the day a Megalonyx fertilized my seed 1835 years ago. I fought hard to sprout up from the ground. I wasn't sure I would make it, but my fighting spirit prevailed. Now I'm the tallest and the oldest tree in the forest.

Blind Date Top Story - April 2021
I met Kevin, my blind date, last week online. Both of us love haunted houses, so we're heading to a creepy old mansion near my condo for our first outing. The millionaire, who owns the house, throws a spooky shindig every month on the full moon. This year Halloween landed on a super blue moon, and we thought it would be cool to check it out. We're here said Kevin, as we pulled up to the mansion's rusty old gates. Slowly they began to open, letting us drive through.

The Tuffin Estate
Johnathon Tuffin the sixth, known as “John,” promised his twins he’d be home for their third birthday, and he was running late. The Tuffin Estate’s private jet’s Ottawa flight had a twenty-minute delay due to a high-pressure storm brewing down from the East. John was writing in an “old family heirloom,” his little black notebook trying to kill time waiting for the flight to land. Now entering the Tuffin Estate’s Airspace, his jet slowly started to descend, circling towards the private airport. The plane flying into the runway released its landing gear striking the tarmac glided to a halt as the propellers gently rotated.
