'GTA V'
1997 in gaming history is a year we should all remember; even as a six year old, I do remember first watching gameplay of (a few years later playing it myself) Grand Theft Auto, the original, released on the first PlayStation console (the big grey one with the wired controllers and the physical memory cards). The aerial views and the small controllable character made the game disappointing for me. I was unable to get past stealing a bus, having to do a really complicated three-point-turn in the midst of traffic and somehow managing to get a nearly unshakable wanted level, or managing to leave said vehicle and shoot some innocent passerby until they retaliated and killed you. Personally, I could not wait for an improvement, if there were to be more games in the series.

'Watch_Dogs'
I know I'm relatively slow to play some games that have been out for a few years, but I am rather picky about the types of games I play too, for instance I will mostly chooses stealth or open world GTA type games. I'm a typecast "guy" player, enjoying games with guns, cars, explosions, hand to hand combat, and of course women.

Media Lesbians
We've all seen the shows with the token lesbian couple, or even the lesbian best friend in the film; oh, I wish life was like a sitcom sometimes. Many a time I've heard, both through watching these or in real life, "I'm giving up on men, I'll just become a lesbian instead, it's much easier." It is not. It is stressful and sometimes sexually clumsy, just how I imagine it is for straight people. Believe me, I haven't forgotten or neglected the wider LGBTQ+ community; I'm just speaking on behalf of myself, a lesbian.

Batwoman!
For many a superhero fan, there are a plethora of choices for your own personal favourite, be it The Flash, Batman, Superman, Aquaman, or anyone else from the DC/Marvel universe (not to mention other companies). As a woman, it was always going to be an easy thing to find yourself identifying on a level with the likes of Wonder Woman, Batgirl, or even Hawk-girl. However, if you chose to identify with a secondary (no less important), female character, there were few people you could pick without bumping into a character mainly shown as a male hero's romantic interest.
