No Longer
Today I found myself watching Downton Abbey, and the episode I was watching ended with a moment that corresponds with history – I know Downton is a fictional tale, but there are elements of it that are of course based on fact and truth. One of the moments in World War One, at the time known simply as The Great War, because known of us would have ever thought at the time it would have happened again – Now it seems it could happen for the third time. This is what I think when watching that episode, and the ones which followed.

Russia VS Qatar: The Hypocrisy that will occur
Anyone who knows me; knows that I disagree with the world cup occurring in Qatar, every few months something new surrounded the mess which is that world cup. Just a few days ago a woman reported that she had been raped, he walked free and she was sentenced to seven years and hundred lashes for premarital sex - this is a crime against humanity. Yet we are less than a year away from one of the biggest sporting events in the world and a glimmer of hope has shined through. I was very against Russia getting the last world cup, being a member of the LGBTQ+ community I didn't like how they had anti-propaganda laws surrounding this situation, but it takes a war for countries to finally take a stand against this country.

A Bad Headspace
For the last few days I have been in a bad headspace. All I’ve wanted to do is get into bed, shut the world out and cry - cry for a long time and forget about the world. I still sort of feel like this but my perception on life has changed a little. You see the last week or so I’ve been going through a number of quite big aspects and it’s left me a little shaken.
