I have always had issues with my body. Whether it be body image in itself, or whether it’s the frustration and depression that comes along with various illnesses.
So, in February of this year, I was prescribed a magnificent medication called Sertraline (or Zoloft). Now a couple of weeks into taking it, I was on top of an eight-story building ready to jump. I was going through a really bad time in my life and I was just ready to finish it all.
Food is a massive issue for me, as it is with a lot of Borderlines. Over half of Borderlines meet the criteria for an eating disorder, and even those that don't may still have a tumultuous relationship with food.
When I look in the mirror, I don’t see what I want to see,
Those with BPD can be impulsive. We may go out and spend all our money on new clothes. We may gamble it all away. We might suddenly decide to drive down a motorway at 3 o clock in the morning without a seatbelt.
Borderline Personality Disorder, also known as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, is a mental health condition that is normally greeted with responses such as "What is that" or "My god, they're a train wreck."
