The villagers thought that evil spirits prowled the village at night, seeking vengeance for the transgressions of their ancestors. Since it was forbidden to enter Elmridge after dusk for years, curiosity finally won the day one tragic evening. The tales of Elmridge had been told to Samantha since she was a small girl, and she was an inquisitive girl who loved solving puzzles. She chose it because the forest was bathed in an eerie glow caused by a full moon that shed a sinister glow over, she concluded that further research was necessary
