Maid Review + My Survivor Story
Trigger Warning: Domestic violence, emotional and mental abuse. Possible Spoilers? I apologize in advance as this is not so much of a review as it is a chance for me to reflect upon my story. I recognize my privilege in that I never experienced poverty, never had the stress of taking care of a child, and education was readily available to me. While I can never fathom what Alex and so many single mothers experience, I know the abuse, the manipulation, the fear all too well.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) Review
Disclaimer: I do not think there is spoilers, but there might be? Harley finally gets a moment in the spotlight after her immense popularity in Suicide Squad with director Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Many fans iterated that Margot Robbie's portrayal was one of the only redeeming factors in an overall mediocre film. Probably the most notable aspect of Harley Quinn to non-comic book fans and the majority of Suicide Squad viewers was her jaw-dropping red and blue sequin hot pants. Unfortunately, many female comic book adaptions include unnecessary, uncomfortable sexualized outfits for the pleasure of viewers alike. Her iconic outfit became a Halloween store's and cosplayer's dream. Although Robbie undeniably looked stunning, we wanted more of her character. Robbie expressed wanting more for Harley. Our prayers became a reality with the announcement of a Harley film that also includes one of the most badass female warriors - the Birds of Prey.

1917 Review
Hollywood has always popped out numerous war films throughout the years. Even as wars were still happening in the front, war films about that particular war were being produced (WWII films in particular). Audiences seem to have a fascination with these films. Whether it be for being petrified by the horrors, graphic violence, and ethical questions behind the war, audiences have flocked to these films time and time again. Whatever the case may be, 1917 certainly fits these premises. It also manages to go beyond the typical mold and create the film that we need at this time.

Knives Out Review
I took my dad to see this film and unfortunately, we had to sit on the very front row in a tiny screening room, but it oddly enough enhanced the ridiculousness and camp of this film. Plus, it was National Popcorn Day (I firmly believe popcorn that's 50% off, tastes infinitely better) and needless to say my dad and I could not stop shoving popcorn in our faces the entirety of this film. This film is the perfect movie theater popcorn film. It felt nostalgic for the classic Agatha Christie "whodunnits" while also bringing a fresh approach. This all-star cast certainly contributed to the delightful chaos of this film.
