Bio
I have always enjoyed writing from a young age. I would mainly write poetry and short stories. I would escape the outside world by writing. I still love to write today and love coming up with little stories to share with everyone.

A sign
The wind blew against my face with stinging pain. My feet were buried in the snow, but I knew if I did not find somewhere warm soon, I would perish in these elements. I’m uncertain what drove me to believe I could survive in this weather. I have been walking for miles I’m certain of it. I still could not find a dwelling in sight to take me in. I should have listened to my mother when she told me to not let my gas go below a quarter tank! I’m such an idiot! Now I’m out here stranded just trying to find some warmth in the wilderness for some damn reason when I probably should have just stayed in my car! My body is getting weak. I don’t know how much longer I can trek through this snow.

Lake Juniper
The water here is just the way I like it. Never too hot and never too cold. On a Brisk Autumn morning theirs a fog that arises from this lake. A fog that some find eerie, but I find it to be quite peaceful. Leaves a damp earthy smell in your nostrils. I love this lake. This is lake Juniper. Look around. Do you see the wonderful sights? The mass amounts of trees surrounding the lake. The wildflowers growing in abundance. The smells of sweetness and earth. Dragonfly’s zipping by your face. Frogs on Lilly pads croaking away. It’s all a sight anyone would love. I have no other choice other than to love it though. This is my home now. Where I reside. Here at the bottom rotting away.

Reasons
She looks through the window and sees only herself. She’s tired and distraught but there’s no rest in sight. She looks at her reflection and tries to remember an easier time. A time where the pain wasn’t so deep. When the hate wasn’t burning from deep within.

Feeling embarrassed
Imagine standing in your kitchen hiding behind a wall. Why? Well to avoid your delivery driver who is dropping off your groceries. You know they can’t see you through the window in your living room, but yet you still stay hidden in your kitchen. An extra wall for protection. You don’t understand why you don’t want to see them or why it makes you feel so anxious.

To live again
“Come on Joanne! When is the last time you’ve gone out and had a fun night? You’re not going to live forever you know.” My friend Christy could be pushy at times especially when it came to my social life. “It’s been a while Christy, but I am ok with that. I’m okay being a little hermit and staying in.” Christy was trying to convince me to let her set me up on a date with one of her friends. “You have not been out in forever Joanne. You deserve it!” The last time I went out on a date was with my husband. I didn’t feel right about dating after losing Josh.
