Weak
The carriage stopped bouncing around as much and Lady Andromeda was able to look out the window. She could see the farms growing closer together. She knew that they were close to a city. She knelt on the cot to have a closer look out the window. She turned to see high walls coming into view. Outside she heard one of her guards yell, “Open the gates!” She realized they had arrived at the city, her city. The carriage slowed as the entered the gateway of the city. Thousands of people began to gather on the streets. They cheered and cheered. The sound of the people was overwhelming. She felt happy but still apprehensive. She feared wiping the smiles from their faces because she fails them. Andromeda looked past the people and looked at the buildings. The buildings were large, tall, and made of stone. They had flat roofs, arched doorways, and windows. They were tall, beautiful, and intricate. Each building seemed to be made of different colors. They were built close together and the buildings shared walls and roofs. The people had work to do but they were still able to enjoy the beauty of the city. The streets were made of stone and were wide.

Weak
The carriage was traveling along the road when a group of bandits came upon them. They were dressed in black and they were armed with swords and guns. The wolves growled as they followed their masters. The bandits stopped the carriage. One of them grabbed the driver and pulled him off the carriage. He was thrown to the ground. The soldiers sprung into action and attacked the bandits. One of the guards knocked on the door of the carriage. Maid Corrine opened the door and looked out. The Soldier informed her of the bandit attack. He also instructed her to lock the door and secure the window. She was to keep the lady calm and no one was to leave the carriage. Maid Corrine nodded and closed the door. She locked it then told Maid Mauve to secure the window. The other woman nodded and closed the metal grate over the window. Lady Andromeda woke to the sounds of the blades clashing and the gun fire outside before Maid Corrine was able to wake her. “What is happening?” the lady asked. “M'Lady, we have come across a group of bandits. The soldiers are taking care of it. Remain calm, remember Sir Rahael has sent his best to keep you safe. The bandits will not have a chance to get to the carriage.” Maid Corrine assured. Lady Andromeda could not help but worry. She tried to remain calm on the surface. She had to trust her husband and entrusted her to.

The Gentle Beast
The Tribute Lady Alyona sat on a cushioned stool, waiting for her father to speak. They sat in his study, the marble walls were covered in light purple fabric that blew the breeze from the open balcony. She had been called because he had something important to talk to her about. She wasn’t sure what it was but was sure that it wasn’t going to be good for her. Maybe he had tricked some poor man to finally marry her so she was no longer her father’s burden. Lady Alyona did not want to look at her father so she focussed on the shelves behind him. Lower shelves were piled high with scrolls. The upper shelves had pieces of art and small statues. He also had paintings of his new wife and daughter. Looking there you would not know that he was married before or that Alyona even existed. After her mother died, Lady Alyona’s father removed anything that reminded him of his first wife. The only thing left was his disgrace of a daughter.

Burned to Beta
Lynexia watched out the window as they left the gas station. They continued the journey through the western state. Around Little Rock Arkansas, she turned from the window and curled into herself. Changing scenery broke her heart more and more. She closed her eyes and allowed the tears to lull her to sleep. Just before Memphis, Ginger entered the bedroom and woke the young female up. “Lynexia, we are going to be stopping soon. You should get out and walk around a little bit.” She suggested. Lynexia laid there not speaking. “I know that it is hard for you to leave your home behind. I did when I married Xavier. I lived all my life in Oklahoma. I remember the changing scents in the air and the changing land. I was happy on the way so it was a little easier. Didn’t make it not hurt. I knew that my life would change. Xavier had just been made Alpha and I was still young. I wasn’t sure that I was ready to lead a pack or ready to become a mother. There was a lot of uncertainty for me back then, but I found my place and a family that I wouldn’t trade for the world. You will find things that you never expected with my pack. I really hope that you will find happiness in your new home. You don’t have to worry, no matter what you are a member of the pack and will be a part of us for as long as you wish.” Ginger assured me. “I don’t know how to be happy anymore. I don’t know what I could find in Tennessee. I know that Alrik feels a certain way about me and I don’t know what to make of it.” Lynexia responded.

Lynexia sat at the alpha’s table while the others ate. She didn’t want to eat nor did she want to be there. The Alpha and his Luna had asked that she join them for dinner. Lynexia thought that declining would be disrespectful. These people had agreed to take her in when they really didn’t have to. All around were conversations. When the others would address her, Lynexia would nod, give a weak smile, or monsolavic responses. Everyone understood that she was going through a hard time, even though they worried they did not push her to be more engaging.

Sir Rahael could see her apprehension but knew words would not alleviate her concerns. He gently took her by the hand and led Lady Andromeda to the banquet hall. The couple walked through the doors to thunderous applause. They walked through the crowd and joined the Emperor and Empress at the head table. The Emperor stood and the crowd fell silent. “Let’s welcome Sir Rahael and his new wife, Lady Andromeda of Lemia. In honor of my best friend, on her wedding day, I am bestowing a Lordship upon her husband. Lord Rahael and Lady Andromeda will be given permanent residency on the Imperial Estate. At which I expect to see them visit at least once a year.” he announced, “Congratulations to Lord and Lady of Lemia." He added and sat as the guests toasted the couple.

Burned to Beta
Lynexia woke the next morning, confused. She remembered being in the fields but not returning to the ranch house. She sat up, stretched, and sniffed the air. The smell of sausage and eggs filled her sinuses. She kicked her legs over the edge. Lynexia slowly got to her feet and left the room. She made her way through the house to enter the kitchen. Alrik, sensing her presence, looked up from his plate. “How did you sleep, Lynexia?” he questioned. Lynexia shrugged her shoulders in response. “Are you hungry?'' he inquired as he got up from the table and approached her. “Not really” she whispered as Alrik led her to his chair and had her sit. “You really should eat something.” Lavender urged. Alrik moved his plate so his grandmother placed a plate of sausage and toast in front of Lynexia. Lynexia was not really hungry but felt all the eyes burrowing through her. She took a small bite of toast. Ginger then placed a glass of juice next to Lynexia's plate. The young female finished one piece of toast and drank the juice. She couldn’t stand the stares, so she left the house.

Burned to Beta
The sky changed and Lynexia could smell the evening coming. The animals of the day started to bed down with the sun. The animals of the night opened their eyes with the rising moon. The insects changed shifts and the wheat smelled different. Lynexia could feel the awakening moon. Every instinct told her to shift. As much as she urged her body, it just couldn't change. The silence of her wolf tore her soul apart. Lynexia stomped through the fields. Her anger and frustration were boiling up inside her. She walked up to the side of a barn and punched a hole through the wall. When she pulled it out she watched the blood streaming out around the pieces of wood stuck in her flesh. She didn't feel any pain from her wounds. She stomped towards the woods. The blood dripped fast to the ground and stained the grass behind her. She reached the edge of the trees and realized that her arm hurt. She looked back at her hand and arm. Normally, by now, wounds like these would have started healing already. Instead, the red blood continued to drip to the ground. Lynexia stared at it confused, then the wind picked up and the torn flesh started to sting.

The light from the fire at the end of the torch flickered along the cave walls. A young archaeologist cautiously made her way deeper into the cave. She was convinced she was on the right track to the greatest discovery in history. For her entire career, Isendra had searched for a lost civilization known as the Dracanae. The legends had mystified scientists and intrigued the masses but no one knew if it was real or just a story. Brief accounts had been found but no real hard evidence. No one had even found artifacts that the Dracanae Empire ever existed. Isendra never gave up the search. Something inside told her that the Dracanae Empire had in fact existed and were far more advanced than even modern humans. She had suffered much in her career from ridicule and no one wanted to take her theories seriously. They called them childish fantasies and regulated her to the fringes of the Archeological community. They took every opportunity to discredit the young archaeologist.

Wars of the Icy Seas
"There weren't always dragons in the valley." Chieftess Iceni explained as she gave the shipwrecked Captain Sam 'Casanova' Morgan a tour of her flagship. "What do you mean?" he asked, very confused. Chieftess Iceni led the way to the lower deck, " There was a time when a Chieftess could live in peace and care for her people. Then the invasions started. Men from the warm Mediterranean came to take our lands and enslave our people. Than men from the east started their own campaigns. Then about ten years ago boats came from the north. The most ruthless of all the invaders. The come with no warning bringing untold hell upon us. They care not if you be a man, a woman, or a child. They will take what they will. We have had to fight with all our might to survive. We have had to be clever when kind words were all it took before. We have had to become hardened. We cannot hesitate to draw our blades and spill blood before ours stain the decks. We have had to throw out our once set morals and take what we need." she explained as they entered the Captain's quarters.
