A mystery of the night sky
Chapter 1: No one can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. My grandmother repeated this phrase to me many times and throughout my life I believed in the truth of this statement. I never looked up at the sky, never wondered what was beyond what I could see, or even imagined if there was anyone beyond us, because even if there was, who could hear it?

MYSTERY EXPRESS
CHAPTER 1 Nadia woke up with a gasp as a loud noise split the silence of her slumber. Her cheeks pressed into the armrest of the seat she curled up on. She lunged forward but fell back as a splitting headache threatened to make her lose consciousness. Blinking to orient herself, she started looking around. There was a seat similar to the one she was on across her with a table in the middle. Where am I? She recalled that the sound that woke her was a train whistle. It continued to make a squeaking noise as it moved on the rail tracks.

God Save the Queen
Chapter 1: Enter the Time Loop Ahmed had just gotten out of his physics class when he decided to take a slight detour back to his dorm. The campus had just installed a new form of high rail transport called the “hyper loop.” It was a shuttle on tracks that could take him to any point on campus. Being a physics student enamored with mechanical engineering and anything in fast motion—Ahmed was excited to try it out. He was glad to see that there wasn’t even anyone else in line to board. ‘Awesome, I’ll have it all to myself.’

The Eccentricities of a Muslim Girl
She was my colleague at the place I worked at, and a very humble, modest, and a decent girl indeed. Dressed in a white satin shirt, she would greet us at our workplace quite often, and our faces would light up in her glowing presence. She had the air of a person who is liked and loved by everyone, and cherished for her positive and cheerful influence. Her innocent presence and modest, yet adorable existence will always be remembered and treasured. To us, she will always be the girl who stood for her faith and values in spite of unfavorable circumstances and situations, with an unwavering resolution. Although her culture did seem to be unfamiliar and foreign to us at the outset and drastically different to ours, there was something about that eccentric Muslim girl that won the hearts of many and set her as an example for others to follow.
