The Road Ahead
The dark night sky used to always frighten me as a child. When shadows loom in corners or when shadows look like creatures, peeking out from the woods. It used to always terrify me and I always needed a light in my room. To help me sleep and scare away the shadows that loom in the darkest corners.

Ragdoll
Death is a scary thing to experience. You never know if there’s an afterlife or if there’s just nothing. I was just thirteen when I died. I got leukemia and was stuck in the hospital for weeks at the end of it all. My grandmother knitted me a doll. A rag doll. It was my favorite doll in the world. I named it Celeste and told my family that I’ll try my hardest to get better. My mother made a badge with the name Celeste on it, and my grandmother sewed it onto my rag doll. I was so grateful. I promised I’ll never lose this doll ever.

The Door
“Open the door.” That’s what they want me to do as I stand in front of this mysterious black iron door. Nobody else can open this peculiar door, all except me. Everyone who tried gets electrocuted and dies. We ended up having to bury lots of our family and friends because everyone tried opening it. But these people are still greedy and curious about what’s behind this deadly door. They don’t care if I die, too. They just believe what wacko who appeared and said I’m the only one who can open this door.
