Washed up on the shores of god-knows-where, Teru was fading in and out of consciousness. Kicking his feet throughout the night with very little food in his stomach, all Teru was feeling was a combination of the hot sun showering him with warmth as well as the sand blanketing his wet body. Chapter I: Start With a Bullet The cloudless morning carried with it a calm, relaxing chill as the refugees flocked to the pier in order to get on the last remaining ship out of the city. They trickled slowly past the government-reinforced checkpoint as many others were backed up farther than the eye could see.
