The Repentance Train
A gasp of air is all that could be heard coming from a man. The type of gasp that someone would have as if they came back from the brink of death. Coughs soon followed as he awoke and looked around to try to make sense of the situation. He had soon realised that he was in the carriage of a train, a brand-new train by the looks of it but with a small monitor suspended above him on the opposite side of the carriage. The monitor then counted down from 5. The man's eyes faced the monitor and the carriage became less relevant with every number that passed.

I don’t even know if I should because if I do it will only remind me of what happened and what I saw but since I am writing this, it is only right that I start from the beginning.

There is an old wife's tale that my great grandmother would tell me and my siblings. If you ever come across a begging child or one asking you to play, always show kindness because you never know who they are or what they might be.
