The Wavering Path
Let me start this by saying a few things. I have not been in a ton of fights in my life. I'm no saint, however; I have been in a number of dust-ups. That is not the same thing as having a violent life. Violence is present in anyone's life, unless they live in a bubble. Some of us are exposed to more examples of it, and varying types of violence. This is just what my story is, and how it has changed me over the years.

Falling Water
Meditation is the pathway by which we bring unity between the conscious and subconscious parts of the mind. This practice can be done several ways, but I have found one way to be the most beneficial to me. It is not an easy meditation to do successfully, but even an incomplete attempt is thoroughly refreshing, physically and mentally.

The Power of the Fist
I am roused from my meditations with a burning question: what keeps the martial arts alive? Surely, the majority of society sees the logic of superior combat technology. They are also drawn to the more streamlined, immediately-effective defensive systems, such as military combative systems. We know so much about how to take apart the machine of the human body, why do we maintain these ancient ways?

Journey of a Ronin
My feet are tired, my back aches, and my legs shake from exhaustion, but I must continue forward. I must not stop. A warrior never admits defeat, for defeat is disgrace. Defeat, to a warrior, is the ultimate stain on the honor. If I stop, I must accept defeat. If I stop, I will defeat myself. This is the way of the warrior.
