Embrace Yourself Proudly
Emily had always been rather embarrassed about her red hair which appeared bright as if it had been dyed. Her younger self even sought to cover it with hats or hoped to wake up with a different hair shade, one that most of her peers enjoyed. She sat envying them as they washed their beautiful black, brown shiny hair thinking why couldn’t she have hair like them. However, the latter becomes a significant issue in the given story as soon as Emily comes to understand that her hair is what defines her as a person. This was the moment she began to accept the itchy, fiery hair on her head; however, it was not until she came across the redhead festival in Ireland that she felt like she belonged.
