No Nazis in Our Gothenburg
Weeks before the media began to whip up sensationalist articles about the coming march. Thousands of violent left-wing protesters would descend upon the streets of Gothenburg they said. The dreaded Antifa, who “were equally as bad as the Nazis,” would be there too. The day before, the free Metro newspaper ran the headline “places to stay away from this Saturday.”
There is no denying that the world we live in today is one of unequally distributed power. Five of the richest men in the world own more than 50% of global wealth. The haves and the have nots are clear to see. Whilst, the majority of the world provide the driving force behind the world’s economy, a few live off profiting from the masses’ hard work becoming richer and richer. In short, the majority of the world is under the control of a clique of rich people.
What is NoFap?
NoFap: a movement to abstain from porn and masturbation. The premise is simple, porn affects our brains, it warps our view on sexuality and derails our lives. Through masturbating to porn we program our brains to be stimulated by porn’s pixilated titillations and, as a result, the brain becomes desensitized to real sexual stimulation. Over time the need for porn increases, ten minutes grows to an hour and so on. What was once appealing becomes boring, resulting in the porn user watching more extreme sexual films. Through abstaining, Fapstronauts, as they are known, undergo a“reboot.” Rebooting describes the “rewiring” of the brain through abstinence.
A Mancrisis – the Crises in Manhood
The existentialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir, in The Second Sex, described the situation of women as “One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.” In essence, ignoring the biological factors, de Beauvoir describes the idea of women and men as being a social construct that the individual takes upon themselves to give meaning to their existence. Previously, men were seen as the norm, whilst women were seen as abnormal. From this place of inequality, men were given a central roll in society and women were seen as an addition to men.
