Small Vacay on Hawaii
I recently went on a small vacation to Hawaii—more specifically, the Big Island. We stayed just outside the town of Kailua-Kona in a tiny town called Captain James Cook. I traveled to this island with my Hubbs and his brother, sister-in-law, and his parents (gasp! vaycay with the in-laws!!!)

Mom to Be
My husband and I have been together since 2012. We have recently decided that now is a good time to try and start a family. We just got a house, we both are in a steady position in our jobs, and I am about to hit my 30th birthday. The plan that I have always had is that by the time I was 30, I would have at least 1 child. So we decided that now is “GO TIME”.

Can't Pick Them...But You Love Them
The connections we make with our siblings are the very first types of relationships we learn to make at a young age. I grew up in a family of five. Though I am one of three siblings. I am the one that is the middle. I have an older brother and a younger sister. My brother and I are about 18 months apart. We are closer now in our adult ages than we ever were when we were younger. He tormented me, pushed me out of trees, punched me in the arm as we passed each other in the hallway. But nonetheless, I love him dearly. Now that we are both older, and married, and starting families of our own, our sibling relationship has grown and we see eye to eye. Though he still tries to throw me in the pool, every time we are at Mom's and Dad's for a BBQ.

Horrible Employees Rule the Workplace
Let me tell you about a little story that in which I have found myself currently exploring. I have been working at a job with a school district for almost five years now. My goal in the next year is to finish school and get my teaching credential. My current boss is the kind that absolutely makes you dread coming into work. She is the type of boss that makes you actually wonder how you can go to work and make yourself throw up. She's horrible.

American Canyon Trail
I am your average hiker-backpacker. I don't know why it is so appealing to me to live out of a tent and have to walk everywhere — walk up and down the trials to get a view of the world, that I can not see sitting at my desk from work. It just seems like living like a hobo for a few days is a reset button on my soul. Working every day where I have to reason with my boss to give me time off to go to a family member's funeral and many other issues like that just completely wears my soul thin.
