Chapter 2 I must confess. I’m thrilled Beale is eligible for the Ship Date, even if we’re both potentially doomed because of it. Even if Beale feels the exact opposite and would give anything to stay here. I know it’s selfish thinking, I chastise myself.

Chapter 1 Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. They being Commander Penn who, undoubtedly, was just pulling his usual scare tactics. I’m not usually phased by Commander Penn, or any of the Commanders, for that matter, but with the Ship Date approaching quickly I was starting to give slightly more consideration to their remarks. Beale, on the other hand, was losing it over Commander Penn’s threat of the day.
