Tick Tock For Tiktok
Tiktok has been everywhere. Videos made on the app are shared on Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube. The short video app has been in the news for promoting dangerous activities, as well as for privacy concerns. Recently, there's talk of banning Tiktok in the United States if ByteDance doesn't sell it.

Sleepless Nights With Cody
When it comes to caring for my almost 10 year old son Cody, one of the biggest challenges that I have is at bedtime. This is a problem which has lasted for all of Cody's life and is also one of the lesser talked about challenges of raising a child with Down Syndrome. While I can't speak for all children who have Down Syndrome, I can share my personal experiences with taking care of my son Cody.

TikTok Is Bonkers
TikTok is everywhere. There are ads for the app on television, in streaming services, and even banner ads for it no matter where you go online. Even public transportation sports ads for TikTok inside of the buses (at least there are in Orlando, Florida where I live!) as well as on billboards.

What It's Like Having Two Differently Abled Children
I have two very different kids. My oldest son Cody has asthma, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, and Down Syndrome. He uses a wheelchair, is physically incapable of doing anything on his own, and it takes an average of a half hour to get him ready to go anywhere. Cody is 9 years old (he's going to be 10 this year come September) and full of energy. I have to give him multiple medications every day. Cody can't speak and is constantly getting into things that he shouldn't on a daily business. He is still in diapers (due to his medical condition, he can never be toilet trained) and needs everything done for him.

The Truth About Taking A Disabled Child Places
While scrolling through social media lately (my favorite site being Instagram), I've been noticing more and more pages made featuring disabled children out in public places enjoying the same things that other children do. These images and videos of happy children (and I do believe that the children are legitimately happy) may lead one to believe that if you have a disabled child, you can just load them up in your vehicle and easily take them places.

A Brutally Honest Post About Pit Bulls
When it comes to information online about pit bulls, it seems like there are 2 groups: 1 that says all pit bulls are vicious and need to be destroyed and another that says pit bulls are cuddly misunderstood animals. I'm hoping that this serves to be a more balanced opinion on them.

Blank Slate
THE JANITOR'S POV I remember first hearing this story back in elementary school on the playground. It was a crazy story, about a schoolteacher who would go from place to place, strangling kids before moving on. According to this story, nobody knew where they came from or where they would go. Nobody knew how old exactly this schoolteacher was. They didn't have a universal appearance either, but would be like a kind of shapeshifter.
