Earth evolution
Over the past few billion years, Earth has faced asteroid impacts, collisions with other planets, and multiple ice ages. It's pretty wild to think about all the crazy life forms that have roamed our planet. Sometimes it's a miracle that our blue Homeworld has survived through it all. If we want to dive into Earth's history, we need to go way back to the beginning. About four and a half billion years ago, our solar system started forming from a dense cloud of interstellar gas and dust. As the cloud collapsed, it turned into a swirling disc of matter that eventually led to the birth of our Sun and baby Earth. The clumps of matter in this disc eventually formed the planets and moons we know today. Earth, in its early days, was super active with volcanic activity, spewing out gases that formed the first atmosphere. It went through intense collisions, including Thea's impact that created our Moon. It's incredible to think about Earth's journey from a hot, oceanless world to the diverse and vibrant planet we know today!
