What is an Economic Bubble? An economic bubble is a situation where the price of an asset or group of assets (such as stocks) becomes very high and continues to rise, until it reaches a level that is not justified by fundamentals. The term "bubble" can be applied to different types of economic activity, including stock market bubbles, real estate bubbles and commodity bubbles.
