I have always felt a bit out of step in my life. Be it making friends or trying to understand why I have never been the one that people choose to keep in their lives long term. I paint and I love to write. Expression is where I thrive.

What's Beneath The Surface?
Most have heard someone in their life use the phrase "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed," right? Well in this instance it can be difficult to know which side you woke up on at all. Although as you go through the day things may seem fine, you feel angry, anxious, or even just empty. Living with Borderline Personality Disorder is like taking depression, anxiety, and a healthy mental state and rolling them all into one. That may not make the most sense considering if you have depression and/or anxiety clearly you do not have a healthy mental state, right? Well, that is a good way of explaining BPD. One moment you feel normal, like you could actually live a life without struggling to get out of bed or being able to hold a job, but then all of a sudden it feels like the weight of the world is crushing you. You feel like you can never get your head above water because nothing you do is good enough and eventually everyone leaves, right? NO! This is that imbalance causing those feelings.

He Saved Me
I still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with my son. I had been sick for a few weeks and thought I had a stomach bug. I finally decided to take a home pregnancy test and was beyond nervous waiting for the result. I was only 18 at the time, unemployed, and my boyfriend at the time was also unemployed and irresponsible. When the test processed and said I was pregnant my first thought was not a good one.

The Meaning of Art
Art is a broad concept that is interpreted differently by all individuals. The oxford definition of art is, “the expression of human creative skill and imagination, typically in visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. The various branches of creativity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance.” Although this definition is literal and gives many forms of art used for the expression of the human mind an emotional base, personal interpretation is very important as well and gives art true value.
