An Introvert in an Extroverted Society
“I don’t believe you two have met before, this is my husband Josh,” my wife says introducing me to another of her numerous cousins. I extend my hand to shake theirs and say, “Nice to meet you”. I then retreat inwards into myself and allow my wife to do all the talking at whatever social gathering we are at. If the title wasn’t clear enough, I am an introvert. The definition of an Introvert from Oxford is “a shy, reticent person”. This is just one of the many ways that I am at a disadvantage in my everyday life since I am an introvert. People assume that we introverts are shy and anti-social. It is assumed that we hate people and would rather be alone because of our hatred for others. This is just not the truth.

The Love/Hate relationship with America's Police
I have been employed within a law enforcement agency in the U.S.A for 4 years now. During my short 4 years, I have seen plenty of horrible things and plenty of amazing things. The public has always been skeptical of how well police officers do their jobs and if they are abusing their power or not. The public should be skeptical about police and always keep an eye on them. Law enforcement in America has always been a little weirder than in other countries for various reasons. They have always been a little more forceful and prone to use force faster than other countries outside of the select few like Mexico, Brazil Etc.

The REAL World News
Try and think back to the last time you sat down to watch the news. It’s safe to assume you turned on CNN, WNDU, Fox or MSNBC. It is also pretty safe to assume that the news channel you turned on is aligned with your views in life whether it be political or otherwise. Many people do this without thinking about it. I remember asking my mom why she switched from watching WNDU to Fox news when I was younger and the answer I got was always somewhere along the lines of “WNDU doesn’t know what they are talking about and Fox does”.

He pleads with his parents to trade for any chariot they could afford for the young man. They decline saying they are too poor to afford anything. The young man is heartbroken, but little does he know his older brother has yet to reveal the fact that he will be giving him his first chariot.

“Good morning Alicia! It’s time to get up and get around for work” my assistant blares through my bedroom while she turns all the lights on and opens the curtains allowing the sun to shine into my room. She then begins to tell me about my routine for the day and what the weather will be while I lay in bed and stare at my now brightly lit ceiling. “Hey Google, you can stop,” I say, instructing her to stop talking. I sit up in my bed and look out my 34th floor window and gaze upon the view that is New York city at seven in the morning. I get out of bed and walk to my calendar and see that today, after 11 days, I finally get a day off from work. There is a note on my calendar telling me to not volunteer for overtime today but I can’t figure out why. Looking around my room I finally remember from the leaflet sitting on my bedside table, there is a showing for the now holographic interface today and it starts at ten!

Let's go on an Adventure
We all had that cartoon or show that we watched every time it was on. For some it was SpongeBob, others it was Pokémon and some it was Looney Toons. Well for me it was one of the best animated shows of all time. The greatest thing that Disney has ever produced, Phineas and Ferb. The show had it all for a young kid. It had songs and dances, stuff to learn and interest you. It was a goldmine for a young impressionable kid like I was. I would come home and watch it as long as my mother would let me, sometimes for hours on end. I remember crying watching the last episode knowing that it was the end of an amazing 8 years.

Reaching a Million Pt. 2
December 25th 2020. I had the startling realization that I had not bought a single Christmas gift for anyone. Not my mom, step dad, wife or even my 7 month old son. I just couldn’t afford to buy anyone a gift. No one made me feel bad about this, my wife understood and I was young enough to not be obligated to give gifts to my parents yet but I still wanted to.

Reaching a Million Pt. 1
Have you ever wanted a million dollars? If you say no you're lying. We have all had our fantasies of winning the lottery and having a huge sum of money deposited into our bank account. Personally I just hope to someday see six figures in my savings account.
