Writing Prompts of the Week
Hello to all and welcome to another week of writing prompts. This week, we reach the end of yet another month. Time flies! Plus, Easter is just around the corner, meaning that many of us get to relax over a long four-day weekend. I can’t wait! This said, I won’t keep you waiting. Here are this week’s writing prompts.

“Catherine, stay close.” Catherine and Eliza followed the natural pace of the crowd, the one set by museum and travel tour guides, by tourists, by art fanatics, and by students doing their assignments. The two girls were all and none of those things. They loved art, were tourists, were students, but they were not there for assignments. They were there for jobs.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another week of writing prompts. This week will cover monologues, poetry, fanfiction and more. Plus, because many of you have been encouraging me to share some of my work, I decided to publish a sample of my writing as an answer to one of this week’s prompts. I’ve rarely ever shared my work with anyone, so this was quite nerve-racking, but I’m also proud of accomplishing this step and putting myself out there. This said, I won’t keep you waiting. Here are this week’s prompts (and a link to one of my poems!).

According to the Poetry Foundation, an ekphrastic poem "is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art." For my own take on this, I've chosen to describe Prudence Heward's "At the Theatre" (1928).

Welcome back to yet another week of writing prompts. The sun is rising earlier and setting later, and it feels so good! I feel like my days are longer and that I have more time to write. Do you feel the same way?

Once again, here are seven prompts, one for each day of the week. I’ve been having so much fun coming up with these, and I was recently encouraged to share my own responses to some of these prompts. This said, I have accepted the challenge and in the coming weeks, you can expect to be able to read – and if you feel like it, give feedback on – some short stories I wrote while inspired by a selection of these prompts.

It’s finally March break! Yay! For some, this might mean that nothing changes, that they still have to go to work. For others – including me! – it means a lot of free time! In other words, for many, March Break is an opportunity to write more than ever. And if you don’t know where to start, here are a few writing prompts to get your hamster wheels rolling.

It’s hard to believe that February is already almost over. But, on the bright side, for many, it means that we’re that much closer to March break. Still, it’s not quite here yet. This week, try to take a few minutes for yourself and change your mind from your busy workday or full day of studying. Try some of these prompts!
