Brown Were My Eyes
In the blink of an eye, feathering out from the lashes, lashing the rage of a god, goodness, do you see the highlight in the iris? ignition of the sparks of steel on steel, stealing the spotlight, the spot in the pupil, people, do you see the battle behind the blink of the eye, eating up the good, echoing the beasts beating on one another, abusing the very craving that their feeding, falling victim to their very own trap, tripping on their own obscurities, offending the mind behind their domicile, dominance being the rope in a game of tug-o-war, warped and spinning like the blue of the sky that is underneath the back, but boy, my eyes were never blue, backwashing the quotes of romance, ruining the idea of true love, leaking the pain out of them because, boy, brown were my eyes and behind them was the battle of my demons.
