'The Shape of Water:' What's the Big Fuss?
The Shape of Water was hyped to be one of the best films of 2017, being nominated for several awards and coming from acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro. While I am usually a fan of the dark, mysterious, and fairytale-esque worlds he creates, this one for me fell drastically short of expectations. Despite a fantastic cast, director, producer, and writer, The Shape of Water is a completely forgettable experience.

Top 5 Modern Horror Films
Being an avid horror fan myself, I am acutely aware of how rare it is these days to come across a horror film that actually satisfies my need for terror, shock and gore. Especially in mainstream cinema there seems to be a lot of repetition when it comes to storyline, average acting skills and predictable outcomes. However, there have been a fair few films that have stayed with me long after viewing for all the right reasons. Inventive and creative directing, unusual characters and truly terrifying situations make these 5 films some of the best horror films in recent times.

'Where The Wild Things Are' (2009) Review
Directed by Spike Jonze Starring Max Records, Catherine O’Hara, Forest Whitaker, James Gandolfini, Paul Dano Rating 7/10 Sitting down to watch a movie which was based on a kid's story book, I expected a heartwarming tale of self-discovery and an insight into the complicated and creative mind of a child. However, Where The Wild Things Are is so much more.
