Solidarity Against White Supremacy 8/27/17
I took a new friend to today’s demonstration at the Federal Plaza on Adams and Dearborn that consisted of an estimated 3 thousand plus citizens toward Trump Tower in Downtown Chicago. This protest was in response again to the Trump/Pence regime’s consistent indifference of not discrediting Neo-Nazi/Confederates for the violence in Charlottesville, while at the same time condemning counter-protesters as equally to blame for the bloodshed. Furthermore, the 45th president continues to show his incompetence and blatant disregard for Americans on a regular basis such as pardoning ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio, passing the ban on trans Americans in the Armed Forces and the delayed aid to the victims of the Hurricane Harvey disaster in Texas.

'Refuse Fascism' March
In response to the death of thirty-two-year-old Heather Heyer and the injuring of nineteen other non-violent counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, the outspoken organization known as Refuse Fascism organized a march August 13th in Downtown Chicago, Illinois’ Millennium Park with over five-hundred plus citizens. The protest took statements from concerned and angered Chicagoans that came out to condemn the violence of the Charlottesville riots, murder of an innocent woman and the Trump administration’s indifferent response to the uproar, going so far as to label the administration as the Trump/Pence Regime! Like all too many Americans, the Trump Presidency has continuously chosen not to condemn the actions of the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Confederate and Neo-Nazi rallies spewing unethical racism and bigotry then try to disguise it as nationalism. The Refuse Fascism march had garnered media attention and support in the past, I myself have participated in many of their rallies in response to police killings, support of building a Civilian Police Accountability Council and especially now demanding the impeachment of the 45th president, Donald Trump.

Friendship v. Individuality
I believe individuals can be intriguing with good first impressions. Every person regardless of their race, religion, age or background has their own story and every changing personality that separates them from another individual. Even a person that may seem similar to you or someone else you know are not exactly the same, because their own experiences in some way shaped how they formed their sense of morality, and beliefs are very dissimilar.

Opening The Third Eye
You go online surfing social media and you may come across different ads or techniques to relieve stress and anxiety. Some do yoga, jog, archery or plain just find any extracurricular activity to positively occupy their time; whatever floats a person's boat. One preferred method popular amongst the sub-cultures would be the use of hallucinogens and psychotropic drugs, LSD, Marijuana etc. There are even unconventional methods that individuals use to simulate the effects of drugs using nothing more than common food grocery supplies! All these acts are with the intention of somehow achieving a higher state of consciousness, a glimpse into the another plane of thought - Opening the Third Eye.
