Religion Has Given Us Some Amazing Architecture
Introduction Last weekend I visited Durham Cathedral with Fiona, Matt and Lesley and it got me thinking about how stunning many religious buildings are, and the work that has gone into them. My dad was a builder (he is still around, having also been a farmer and installing over two thousand Post Boxes throughout the north and west of England) and I worked as a labourer with him so I am constantly impressed by these structures.

Feeling The Love
Introduction After my last poem, I know I have to let friends know that I am in a good place because I have a wonderful Muse who inspires me and raises my spirits every day. I thought I would try another pantoum, but maybe that is just because I am very lazy when I write poetry.

The Love Of Words
Introduction One of the reasons that we love creating stories is our love of the simplicity and complexity of words. The music I have chosen is "Stay" by Shakespear's Sister (I know it is spelled differently to the Bard of Stratford's surname)which contains beauty and darkness in a wonderful four minutes of music, a great listen and watch, and I love the sentiment "Stay With Me".

Drowning
Introduction How I have been feeling recently. Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything stupid and I need to write things like this to clear my bad feelings. I sometimes wish I could talk about it, but I can't burden others so I use poetry to unburned myself.

Route 666
Introduction I don't know what popped this into my head. I was reading an old blog post about the 101ers and the band name coming from George Orwell's 1984 then I thought of Girlschool covering Gun's "Race With The Devil" and thought what road would they be on, then thought of the song "Route 66" and the road Route 66 which runs from Chicago to Los Angeles nearly two and a half thousand miles:

Dodecahedron
Introduction This is for Heather's challenge that you can read below: I had a few more ideas for this including "Temptation" and "Resolution" but they are both only ten letters and we need twelve for the word, and then "Dodecahedron". I was surprised to find two Wiki definitions for it as I just thought it was a twelve-faced 3D object.

Turning Negatives Into Positives
Introduction When I am looking for inspiration sometimes I have negative thoughts, like the fact that most people don't see me as a creator in any way, I am just there when stuff needs to be done, and that makes things difficult and the lines from Bob Dylan's "Joey" come back to nail things home:

The Importance Of The Vocal Facebook Groups
Introduction I was tempted to Vocal by the huge competition prizes back then that I believed I was good enough to win. Vocal decided I wasn't. However I have been successful in many ways on Vocal, but I believe much of that is due to the various Facebook Vocal Groups.

Imperfection
Introduction This is for Heather's challenge that you can read below: I thought about the word "Perfect", then "Perfection" and then to increase the number of letters "Perfectionism". Then I reread the rules (you know men never read instructions but maybe I am not a real man, just some subhuman knuckle dragger) and thought "Perfection" is ten characters and "Perfectionism" is thirteen characters, but my ideas were formed for a villanelle, What could I do? Obviously, add two letters to the beginning, and find out that Salvador Dali was right.
