Authenticity in Photography
Before I start. This isn't dig at photo edits or the start of a lengthy debate on photo manipulation. Yes, I know fully well that photos have always been edited and 'those darkroom chaps' used to do some awesome things back in the day, pre photoshop.
Terrible title. Just the two words 'shooting film' wants to make me put a suit on and eat a fat Steak for fear of getting typecast as a Vegan, Lumberjack shirt wearing, Man Bun and Beard supporting hipster. (no offence if thats you).
Photographerlife. Or not.
So, I'm a photographer. A pro, a professional. Someone who gets paid for their work. (Often the only difference between a pro and and none pro is Public Liability insurance and a tax return. Having that 'Pro' status doesn't make anyone better than anyone else. I'm under no illusion! )
