I'm here to tell some stories. Some will be real, some will be fiction, most will be a blend of the two, perhaps giving me the opportunity to rewrite my life and to tell you what should have happened, Hope you enjoy the journey folks.
Chapter One: The Old Barn
We are all born with the great potential. The impact that we have on the world is determined by the power that we wield. Some people are born into power while others find their own. Whatever the scale we all are given the choice as to whether we use our power for ourselves or for other people.
Death and Chocolate
My wife and I are a bit of a cliche. She's a nurse and I was a cop. Nurses and cops seem to be a common match. I'd like to think that it's because they understand each other. Both jobs seeing the worst that humanity can experience. In reality I suspect that it's more probably the proximity rule. With seven billion people in the world, our search for a soulmate seems to only extend to the several thousand people in our immediate proximity. Cops are always in hospitals, seeing victims, guarding bad guys and helping with psych patients so cops and nurses are always in close contact.
He was coming home. He hadn't thought of this place as home for many years. Home was the house where he had loved his wife and raised his children but as he drove down the long overgrown driveway of his childhood the sense of homecoming was strong.
You are my only regret
You are different. At first there was nothing to distinguish you from the others of your kind. Like the others you were so very awkward and angular, lacking in grace. The only thing I saw was another human, something to be feared.
Colin's Little Black Book
I'm an ex-cop. For those of you who know people like me you'll know that this means that we have stories to tell. Some will be funny, the weird and wonderful situations that people get themselves into. Some are gruesome, I really have to pick my audience carefully for those ones. And some are just sad and they're the ones I have the hardest time sharing with others.
