I opened my eyes slowly. The harsh sunlight surrounded me, and I squinted through the unkind light. I groaned and rolled on to my side, relishing the warm, fuzzy blankets wrapped around me. I knew that the light from my window wouldn’t permit me to sleep any longer, so I sat up begrudgingly. My head throbbed. It felt as if a 500 pound weight had been placed on my head. Everything hurt almost as if I had been thrashed around in a tank full of water for hours on end. Ignoring the pain, I swung my legs over the side of the bed. I felt around for my slippers on the floor, but I couldn’t find them.
