Memorable Gifts
Decorating the tree as a child was something to look forward to. Togetherness and memories always brought smiles and fun. It was fun for parents as well because it brought back fun times. The ornaments you had as a child, and all of the handmade ornaments you made. Those were special ornaments and families kept them because they meant so much.

Self-worth
You have control of how you feel about yourself. That’s kind of scary, if you dissect how deep that statement is. Often times, I personally feel I have no control in my life. Do you ever feel like this? Having no control of our lives does not mean we have no control of our feelings.

Learning To Love Myself
As I looked back on 2020, it was hard, yet humbling. I write myself notes on my phone. Notes with grocery lists, quotes, notes I’ll never send, those types of things. Reflect on yourself.

Be the change you want to see
To vote or not to vote? We all ask ourselves questions each day. Like paying bills, “Should I rob Peter to pay Paul”? Household bills are more important than others, in my opinion. Household bills and political bills. We make the choice to vote or not.

Expressing Yourself
Until I started focusing on my inner qualities, my beauty never jumped out. My “canvas” has always been expressed in my hairstyle. I don’t have any tattoos, but always wanted one. I guess I live vicariously through my daughter, as she has more than ten tattoos. I have always been known as “the girl with big hair”.

The Accused
The ride to the station took 10 minutes, but to John it seemed like an hour. Upon arrival, lights from the media lit up the block. Johns bloody shirt was like a red scarlet letter. The minute the police opened the door, the media were like vultures. The questions were never ending.
