If I knew how painful that writing can be would I still have chosen it? It's become a part of me. Without it I am nothing. I am doomed on the path I have dreamed for myself. I will die because of my stories.

This particular document seemed to have been crumpled. The handwriting does not match the young lord's and it seems he'd found out about his father's correspondence with the usurper. Centuries must have worn out the top of the letter.

"Where do you wanna go?" "What do you mean?" "You know," I texted. "When you grow up." "Away from here." I did too. But that conversation was short and I was pulled away from it by something or other. By the time Covid-19 had struck the Bay Area, we'd all managed to adjust to living at home. It was alright, save for the occasional fight from my parents at home.
