THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNERS CAME AND WENT. Cole realized it a few days later. He hadn’t heard anything. He shrugged and kept mopping the floor. He never won anything anyway, least of all a writing contest, and certainly not one with the first prize being so high. Twenty thousand was unheard of for a writing contest.
