I Am
I am nothing but sad. The words that come out of my mouth are nothing more than dust particles in the air. The thoughts that run through my mind are like a tornado tearing up a town, unpredictable. I carry my body like a soggy towel hung upon a hook waiting to dry. These clothes I wear, only mask the outside of my body, not the inside. What’s on the inside is unseen, a black hole in space. I am a nebula ready to grow. Then I do grow, I grow so big I explode, into tiny little particles that look like grains of salt. I am nothing but particles now. Thoughtless, inanimate particles. I suddenly jolt my eyes open at the sound of my alarm ringing. I am not in tiny pieces anymore, I am whole. I am awake and now I have to face the world, yet I am nothing but sad.
