The Dream of Dahab
Imagine a politically neutral international outpost in a pocket dimension perched on the edge of a dreamy blue sea. I’m not talking about the setting of a fantasy book. I’m talking about a town in Egypt called Dahab. South Sinai is a vast desert peninsula between the Suez Canal and Israel. At one point it even belonged to Israel. The Egyptians fought to get it back. But the land belongs to Bedouin tribes that have little regard for Egyptians or Israelis. Whoever gives them the most money is ok by them.
